2018 Digital Impact Report

Alan designed this annual report while employed by Hawaii Pacific Parks Association. He was solely responsible for the report design, content flow, and interactivity. The goal of the HPPA 2018 Impact Report was to use an online platform to highlight the organization’s continued level of support to their National Park Service partners through the trying time of the 2018 Halemaumau & East Rift Zone Eruption that caused a major disruption and displaced the organization. The Adobe Indesign Publish Online digital platform allowed for hyper flexibility, and the ability to nest content in multi-state objects providing greater flexibility in the ability to tell a deeper story. Subsequently in 2020 the Impact Report won the Public Lands Alliance Outstanding Public Engagement Award.
